Redington Rally Scholarship

Scholarship Opportunity:

United Women on the Fly (UWOTF) and Redington are offering a 3 day/4 night trip, fully paid travel including flights, plus a $500 travel stipend to this year’s Redington Rally at Kingfisher Lodge in Montana. This scholarship opportunity provides diverse women with education, financial assistance and a welcoming environment to explore or further their interest in fly fishing. Candidates chosen will have a guided fly fishing experience and have the opportunity to share their outdoor experience with a diverse group of hosts. This scholarship is not based on socioeconomic status; all eligible should apply. 


United Women On The Fly:

UWOTF is committed to building an inclusive community that educates, provides resources, encourages, and connects anglers from all backgrounds into the sport of fly fishing. United Women on the Fly core values consist of connecting anglers, continuing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) work, offering accessible education, not shaming and becoming a fly-fishing resource for anglers. They have done extensive work towards creating equitable outdoor opportunities, and practicing inclusion within the fly fishing community while providing a space to amplify underrepresented women in the outdoor space.

Scholarship Details:

  •       Fully paid flights
  •       4 nights of lodging
  •       3 days of guided fishing
  •       $500 travel & guide tip stipend
  •       Women led group discussion by industry professionals
  •       Montana fishing license
  •       Full Wrangler 5wt Rod, reel, and line outfit
  •       Waders and Boots

 Liability and photo release:

All women participating in the Redington Rally will be required to sign a liability and photo release form. This will be provided through Fly Water Travel and Redington. Throughout the event photos and videos will be taken to celebrate, promote, and amplify the narrative that fly fishing is a space for everyone. The scholarship sponsors and hosts are committed to enhancing diversity in the fly fishing community. One way we do this is by sharing media throughout our platforms. Your photos and media will help to continue the mission within UWOTF, Redington, and Brown Girl Outdoor World. We will provide a folder of the media that you’re free to use on your platforms.

Eligibility requirements:

This scholarship is created for women 21 years or older who identify as one of the following:

  •       BIPOC
  •       LGBTQIA2S+
  •       Nonbinary
