Kendjam with Max Salzburg

August 13 – 21, 2022

Join Fly Water Travel’s Max Salzburg for a week of light-tackle, multi-species, jungle fishing in Brazil.

Were the massive Amazon basin to have an Eden, it would be on the banks of the immaculate Iriri River. Here adventuresome anglers can interface with one of the most fortunate and unaffected native groups in the New World as they enjoy the finest light-tackle multi-species fishing experience available. From the comfort of a deluxe native hardwood cabin camp, groups of six anglers will explore the riches of the Iriri by boat and on foot sight casting to a host of exotic jungle game fish including a unique species of peacock bass, wolf fish, pacu and jaturana. Armed with little more than a 7-weight rod, a floating line and popper, anglers can wet wade and sight fish a wide range of interesting water types in the midst of one of the most pristine and biologically diverse ecosystems on earth. For anglers, adventurers, and lovers of the wildest and most remote reaches of our planet, this epic journey into the Amazon's most pristine jungle paradise is truly without equal.

Meet Max Salzburg

Max is Fly Water Travel's Destination Manager for Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Europe, and New Zealand. The joke within Max's family is that he has always been a tour guide at heart who loves nothing more than traveling to new places and being a stranger in a strange land. A native of Wyoming, Max comes from a family of fly anglers where every member holds a Wyoming Cutt Slam certificate in which they caught the four sub-species of native Wyoming cutthroat trout in their native waters.
