The main lodge is elevated on a natural rock base on the tip of a narrow peninsula which separates Tikchik and Nuyukuk Lakes (Tikchik Narrows). It has large comfortable lounging areas with a natural stone fireplace and a unique circular dining room which is suspended above the lake. Both the main lodge and dining room are enclosed by large picture windows which offer spectacular panoramic views. There is a full bar and a large deck overlooking the “Narrows”.
Guests stay in one of seven duplex cabins, all located on the lake shore overlooking Nuyukuk Lake and the Kilbuck mountains to the west. Each room has a full private bath, independent heat and hot water, closet space, shelving and large picture windows. A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available for a fee. Daily housekeeping is included, and laundry services are available upon request. Each day, the Tikchik staff will stock the rooms with ice and snacks.
Guests start each day off with a hearty cooked-to-order breakfast or choose from a breakfast bar of fresh fruits, cereals and baked goods. Lunches are packed picnic-style for a streamside meal or if weather allows the guides will prepare a shore-lunch of freshly caught salmon. Shore lunches have quite a reputation and are a pleasure you won’t want to miss.
Dinners at Tikchik Narrows Lodge reflect the best of Pacific Northwest cuisine with an Alaskan flare.
