Overview

RIO's bass leaders are designed and built to match the needs of the bass fly fisher. The leaders are made of a medium stiff nylon and have a powerful taper design that will easily turn over large flies, and cope with tough winds. The copolymer material is incredibly tough and abrasion resistant. Each leader is 9ft long, and offered in 4 sizes from 8lb (0.011") to 16lb (0.015"), and available in a single pack, or a money saving 3-pack. "I use Rio mono leaders and Flouro tippet for periodic cicada fishing. I trust both products and have never had a problem from either. I use a 9' 0x or 1x (16 to 18 lbs) mono leader and cut about 18 to 24 inches off. Replace this with Rio flouro of 1x or 0x and that's a perfect carp leader."
