Brazil to Re-introduce Visa Requirements

Anglers traveling to Brazil will be required to apply for a visa starting April 10, 2025.

UPDATE: The Brazilian Government has pushed the start date for the eVisa from April 10, 2024 to April 10, 2025.

Starting April 10, 2025, Brazil will be requiring travelers from the United States, Canada, and Australia to apply for an eVisa.

The application process will be completed online, on the following website: https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/

Individuals will be required to submit the following during the application process:


- Passport (must be signed, valid up to the end of your stay in Brazil, with two visa pages free)
- Visa application form (completed online)
- Uploaded Passport-style photo (2” x 2”, white background)
- E-visa fee payment of $80.90 USD
- Confirmation of flight reservation (showing entry/exit from Brazil)
- Printed bank statement showing transactions for the last 30 days and showing at least $2,000.00 USD for travel


The expected processing time for each visa will be around five business days. Once approved, individuals will receive their approved visas via email. Have a printed copy and it is also advised to save a digital copy on your phone.
