Patrick Kilby, the Flies Category Manager at RIO Products, has been helping shape the company's fly offerings since its launch in 2018. Responsibilities range from overseas factory relations to the final product.

Long before joining RIO, Patrick managed a fly shop, where selling flies ignited a passion that still fuels his work today. Now with over 25 years in the fly fishing industry, Patrick has designed more than 70 patterns, driven by a desire to deliver smart flies that solve fishing challenges. Having tied from a young age, he has transformed a lifelong hobby into a thriving career, finding deep satisfaction in creating products that help anglers succeed on the water.

Patrick holds a Bachelor's in Arts and Science from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and shares a deep connection to the waters of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Northern California. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family and hobbies that involve "finding" — whether it's fish, beach glass, mushrooms or hidden treasures through metal detecting and gold panning.
