Overview

An incredibly advanced nymphing line, ideal for fishing indicators out of a boat

The Xtreme Indicator line has been designed to be a very effective tool for anglers that fish nymphs and indicators out of a boat. The short head has a powerful front taper that casts indicator rigs with ease, and loads up with a single cast. Built with RIO's low-stretch ConnectCore Plus, the line allows for intuitively better cast timing, easier line lifts and sharp, precise mends. Lack of stretch also means faster reaction time when setting the hook.

Reviews

Good and not so good

"I really like how this line casts and the visual tip. I find it to be a difficult line to turn over and get effective mends when trying to get a dead drift. This is probably better for a dedicated streamer or heavy nymph line than an everyday line."

— Mike A. (3/5)

Great line and a guides

"Great line and a guides best friend…. We throw big indicator rigs on big water out here in Northern California. The indicator taper does a great job at turning over those heavy rigs especially in tight situations."

— Curtis C. (5/5)

Trout to steelhead A+

"Best indicator line around! I use this for indy fishing trout from Michigan to Alaska and Stealhead in the great lakes tributaries. Highly recommend!"

Extreme Indicator is a Great Line

"This line makes mending heavy nymph rigs a piece of cake. I love having this line on my nymph rods when I am in the boat. The weight of it makes casting to far banks extremely efficient and accurate. I only trust Rio Products on my fly rods!"

— John O. (5/5)

great nyphing line

"I really like this line. it lays flat on the water and picks up fast and it casts great."

— Mark S. (5/5)

Gran linea para stonefly

"An ideal line for those classic weighted stoneflies, sweeping the bottom from the Raft. Easy to cast and you can make good mending from the boat. Good innovation"

— PEDRO F. (5/5)

Great driftboat indicator line

"My go to line for running indicators, long leaders and big split shot from the driftboat. The heavy front taper loads rods easily."

— Stacy C. (5/5)
