Good patern
"Same experience with durability. Very poor, unravels in a few casts."
The Sparkle Flag has a polyfibre shuck and a stacked hackle pulled over the thorax to give the impression of a freshly hatched adult mayfly. The forward angled flag post increases the visibility of the fly to the angler.

"Great fly but please get your manufacturers to clear the eyes on these and all of your flys. As a guide it really frustrating trying to quickly change fly only to have to stop and clear the eye. Otherwise I’m pleased with the quality Of all Rio flies."

"I bought a doz of these, and while the sure catch fish, the durability of the fly is a real issue. The first one I tied on, the hackle stack came off in my hands - had not even cast it yet! The second one, the thread unraveled off the head after catching 1 fish. The third one, the thread body unraveled after a few casts. RIO needs to start using some head cement on their flies in critical places like hackle and the head to secure the thread down. I give it 2 stars for good hooks, nice packaging, and decent materials. Only problem is the flies fall apart, which is a major problem!"
