Whether you are a seasoned fly angler or new to the sport, this trip to Cape Cod with Simon Gawesworth is sure to be an exciting and educational adventure. Simon will be traveling with the latest Sage and Redington fly rods and RIO fly lines perfectly suited for saltwater fly fishing. Students will learn from Simon in a classroom on the grounds of the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts and on the picturesque beaches attached to the property. The first two days include instruction by Simon and local guides George Sylvestre and Patrick Cassidy on Cape Cod’s wide variety of saltwater angling opportunities, target fish species, safe navigation of tides, gear selection, and conservation topics as well as plenty of casting instruction focused on saltwater techniques. The third day provides students the opportunity to take their new skills on the water with half-day guided fishing trips with George and Patrick.
Far Bank Fly Fishing Schools are designed so students leave the course with all the knowledge and skills needed for a lifetime of enjoyment in fly fishing. We do this by keeping the instructor to student ratio to an absolute minimum. On group lesson days there will be a maximum of four students per instructor and three guests per guide on the half-day guided trips.
