Short head s7 weight spey line
"Great short belly spey lines. It loads very well. Thanks"
An easy casting traditional style Spey line design with a short head, and interchangeable tip versatility

The InTouch Short Head Spey line from RIO is a very easy casting, traditional style Spey line with a short head that is ideal for Spey casters moving up from easier casting Scandi and Skagit heads. The head length varies between 40 ft and 50 ft, depending on line size, and it is a great choice of traditional Spey line for anglers using shorter rods and when fishing in tight quarters. The line has an integrated running line built in, and is an interchangeable tip style line - meaning the front 15ft floating tip is attached to the line with a loop-to-loop connection, allowing anglers to switch tips according to water conditions and guide recommendations. RIO recommends the 15ft InTouch replacement tips as the best options for this. The line is built with RIO's ultra-low stretch ConnectCore for the very best in efficiency and load.
The line has the following head specifications:
6/7 - 42ft, 470gr
7/8 - 44ft, 520gr
8/9 - 46ft, 580gr
9/10 - 48ft, 650gr
10/11 - 50ft, 730gr

"This line helps reduce the amount of stripping needed compared to shorter shooting heads. The 6/7 on a Sage X 6120 has incredible feel and castability. I took the 15' tip off and replace with Light MOWs. A full 10' piece of T8 is somewhat difficult to cast touch and go, but still can be down with proper casting stroke. The 5' float 5' T8 casts nicely and is more forgiving. There a days when a little more stealth is needed and this line is way less intrusive than a skagit head and snap casts. Don't get me wrong, skagit is a steelheaders main tool, but the finesse of this line has me wanting to cast it whenever conditions allow it. Tight lines..."

"I decided to give this line a try again. I am using it for trout spey in the summer to help me move into longer heads during the fall steelhead season."

"I wanted to try and cut back a little of the line stripping while winter fishing. This line has been great with type 3 sink tips and kiss and go snake rolls and single speys. I still use my skagit some, but this has been a great addition to my winter fishing, very versatile."

"I have enjoyed using the line. The line with the floating tip is very easy casting. Being able to attach sink tips makes it very versatile."
