Get Ready for Summer - Our Newest Rockies Trout Destinations
Dylan Rose March 27, 2024
We enjoy relationships with lodges and outfitters dating back over 25 years. Over the past decades, what stands out the most is the relationships we’ve fostered and the friends we’ve made across all corners of the globe. From lodge owners, staff, guides, and fellow booking agencies to transport drivers, chefs, and groundskeepers, as much as we are passionate about travel and fishing, we are equally as passionate about developing relationships. As we decide to add new destinations to our catalog, we make the decision largely based on the potential for developing a vested, positive, and long-term relationship.
For these reasons, it's always exciting to begin new partnerships and we couldn’t be more excited to add The Meadows at Rock Creek in Montana, Brooks Creek Ranch in British Columbia and Boulder River Outpost to our program. Both operations fall within our range of offerings in the Rockies and offer guests some of the West’s most intriguing new trout fishing opportunities.
The Meadows at Rock Creek, Montana
The Meadows at Rock Creek is a tasteful newly constructed ten-cabin lodge/resort on the banks of Montana’s famous Rock Creek. In many ways, this lodge is more than a fishing lodge, with a stunning 1,875-acre property and a wide range of included activities for guests of all interests and inclinations. Anglers have access to more than a mile of private walk and wade water on Rock Creek and an additional two miles of intimate walk and wade water on Flint Creek.
Brooks Creek Ranch, British Columbia
Brooks Creek Ranch is a luxury fly fishing lodge located on the banks of the Elk River on a ranch surrounded by wilderness and near British Columbia’s and Alberta’s best trout fisheries. The waters of southern British Columbia and Alberta boast uncrowded trout angling opportunities with the option of high catch rates or the chance to target trophy fish.
From the tranquil Elk River, renowned for its thriving populations of wild trout and incredible scenery, Fernie offers a diverse range of fly fishing and outdoor opportunities that are seemingly never-ending. Particularly when you consider it is a town with less than 10,000 people. It is truly a four-season destination as there are hundreds of miles of biking and hiking trails, lakes, and a world-class ski resort all within 10 miles of the town center to explore.
Boulder River Outpost
Nestled in one of Montana's most breathtaking valleys between the majestic Beartooth and Absaroka mountain ranges, Boulder River Outpost is an intimate, unpretentious fly-fishing lodge offering unparalleled access to a wide range of pristine waters. Located along the East Boulder River, just a half-mile from the main Boulder River and twenty miles from Yellowstone National Park, the lodge is ideal for small groups of four to eight anglers.
Here anglers can explore a diverse range of fishing opportunities in all directions, including access to meandering small streams on private ranches, swift scenic freestone rivers, and technical spring creeks, all within easy reach of the lodge. Dry fly enthusiasts will find the Boulder Valley and its surroundings to offer some of the finest fly-fishing experiences in the state.
