Streamer Rigs

Do as baitfish do and start swimming. From minnows to leeches—baitfish swim, and your streamer should too. RIO's Streamer rigs are designed to help you swim baitfish imitations effectively, so you count on drawing out the trophy trout one strip at a time.

Strip, Strip, Set

You never know what kind of ferocity lurks beneath the river's surface. The largest and most aggressive eaters are just waiting for a big meal, and they won't hesitate to put up a fight for it. Start stripping, and hold on.

Premier Streamer Tip

A series of fly lines with short, 10 ft sinking tips, specifically built for fly fishers that like to fish streamers out of a boat. A short, heavy head loads rods at close range, allowing anglers to make fast, one-shot casts. An aggressive, powerful front taper casts large conehead muddlers and bunny leech rigs with ease, while a welded loop on the front end allows anglers to change rigs quickly. There are 2 different density lines to cover every fishing situation:
a 10ft clear Intermediate tip(F/I), for hitting the banks
& a Floating Line with a 10ft fast Sinking tip (F/S6), for fishing in deeper water

Big Nasty Leader & Tippet

The Big Nasty Leader and Tippet are perfect for large streamers. Both were designed to cast large, heavy, or air-resistant flies easily. The leader is made of medium stiff nylon and has a powerful taper design that easily turns over streamers. Both are made of copolymer material that is incredibly tough and highly abrasion resistant.

Flies

Big fish eat big food. From baitfish, crayfish, leeches, and other sub surface creatures everything becomes pray to an ancient trout prowling the depths.

Meat's Back On The Menu

Reoccurring dreams of two-foot brown trout keeping you up at night? It might be time to take up streamer fishing. Imitating bait fish often draws out the most aggressive and largest trout. To ensure the fish sees your meat, dial in your rig to match the type of water and it's depth. With the proper setup, you can make the classic adage, "big flies for big fish," come true.

Elite Predator

The Predator features a short, powerful front taper and plenty of weight at the front. It comes in four density tip types available: Ranging Floating, 20ft Hover Sinking Line, 20ft Intermediate Sinking line, or 20ft Fast-Sinking line to cover any and every streamer application situation. A full floating line or Hover Sinking line are most common when targeting trout in a river. As anglers move into deeper water, the Intermediate or Fast-Sinking line becomes applicable.

Flies

It's the law of the wild that big fish do—in fact—eat big food. Baitfish, crayfish, leeches, and other sub-surface swimmers are prey for big fish around the globe.
