Meet Tom Governale
Tom has lived in Boise since 1984. He claims to have started fishing before memory and has no consciousness of ever not fishing, and therefore, believes he was born a fisherman! Tom has a passion for pursuing fish with a flyrod – cold, warm and saltwater species. He is a non-discriminating fly fisher and divides his time between rivers, lakes, oceans and cold and warm water. His fresh water catch list includes just about anything that swims – the five Pacific salmon, numerous trout species, grayling, char, whitefish, bass, bluegill, northern pike, carp catfish, garfish, rock bass, suckers, and many others. Saltwater species include bonefish, permit, Giant, Golden, Blue, Yellow and Silver Trevally, Trigger fish, shark, Jacks Barracuda, Puffer fish, and more! Tom is the lead fresh warm water consultant in the shop. In addition to his trout expertise, he enjoys guiding for smallmouth bass on the Snake River in the summer months.
