Another wonderful Claymore

"I bought this rod as I’ve had a 3113-4 Redington Hydrogen for a while and found for the lakes the tip was soft for setting on a bobber strike hence this new purchase and it has been a great more. This 4 weight Claymore is a beauty and I have 4 of these rods now and they all are stunning. You guys at Redington are producing wonderful rods and this line is brilliant to have alongside the Sage line!"

Claymore Trout Spey - 4116-4

"With the matching intregrated line - it is the best way to introduce clients to spey casting. Wet fly swinging for trout has just been improved. Can't wait till small mouth bass season and the bonus of tight-lining the hardest fighting fresh-water fish (pound for pound) here in Ontario!"

Claymore Trout Spey

"Love this rod. I have several friends with trout Spey rods I borrowed. All of the rods I fished were similar priced as the Claymore. I can feel and load the Claymore easier than any of the others. The 3 wt is the best all around size for the Truckee River. The 4 wt will be better when we are throwing larger streamers."

"What reel of the Redington series are guys finding the 3wt Claymore pairs best with?"

Great for Medium Size Rivers!

"I have 7 or 8 trout spey rods and this Claymore 4 wt is a stand out. I caught my largest brown to date on the Gallatin river, it is the perfect spey rod for rivers the size of the Gallatin!"

Todd S. (5/5)

Claymore trout 3wt

"I tried a bunch of different rods before finding the 3wt on eBay for a good price. After casting, I would have paid full price and more. It easily betters the $600 range of other rods. The only rods that are slightly better cost over $1k. It has enough backbone to handle Idaho Steelhead. It will also work as a single-hand 6wt nymph rig; I’ve felt the stone fly bounce off a rocks and then get tested. The next drift, I knew where he was."
