Measurable Success

Though the EDC was built for stripped down performance, we’ve added features for their angling utility. First, we’ve marked the rod with measurement marks so you there’s no need to fuss with an extra tool or ruler, making for a quick check while keeping the fish wet. For quick location changes on the water a hidden hook keeper is machined into the reel seat (also keeping you from getting stabbed).

"I was so pumped to see this limited editon release. Picked up the Tactical Edition of the 9’ 5wt EDC and it’s quickly become my go-to all-around rod. It’s got a clean, no-nonsense build and feels a bit more refined than the standard version without being overdone. On the water it’s super practical—loads easy at close range but still has enough backbone to punch out longer casts when needed. What stands out most is accuracy. Once you’re in rhythm, it just puts flies exactly where you want them. It’s not overly stiff, so you still get good feedback, which makes it nice for dries and smaller streamers. So excited to see the direction Reddington took with this rod, tactical is becoming my new everyday style."
