"I really have wanted to like this reel. I own 2 of them as well as a rise so I can swap spools between them. I've had trouble with the reels going into free spool and not being able to have any drag which causes the reel to "over spool". I've sent one back wich was repaired (twice) and returned to me . I just sent the newer one back for the same issue and they told me it wasn't a warranty issue and if I'd like to have it fixed it would cost me $50. This is the 3rd time I've had issues with the run reels so I'm done spending money on it. this reel had very little use as its basicly my 3rd reel in line to use for my 5 weights. I'm disapointed again by Farbanks "lifetime warranty". I'm sure its a $2 part that they could replace and the reel would work fine and I wouldn't have to write a bad review. Farbanks, please send it back to me as I can use the spool for my Rise reel."

Awesome reel!

"I use this with my 3wt fly rod and it is a lot of fun. Haven’t to switch around the retrieve from left to right can be a tad difficult but once you figure it out, your set. This reel along with my fly rod held up really well in the creek with multiple trouts. Highly recommend it!"
