"Lucky owner of way too many 2 & 3 wt rods. Kids bought me the Dart zer0 wt. Also the Sage Trout reel, which i was pretty suspect of; thinking was gonna be too heavy to balance rod. Turns out it balances out perfectly. Of course i paired it all with Rio Creek line, figured if line was made for specific rod may as well give it a shot. This set up is by far the smoothest caster in the weaponry, far far. The low backbone of this set up make it magical to toss 30 footers in my tiny tag elder lined streams. This thing loads like a dream in tite tite quarters! Thanks"

"Ordered a 3wt Dart from my dealer in the UK, but ended up with a 1wt due to a technical error somewhere along the line 🤔 anyway spoke to the bloke at the dealers and decided to keep it as an opportunity to go lighter than my normal 3wt setups. Well damn good job I did. This things a blast! Best fun fishing I've ever had, numerous trout up to 3lb and grayling nudging 2lb on size 20 nymphs and light tippet. "I bought the 7’6” 3wt and it’s my favorite rod I own after just one trip. It’s not a slow dry fly only rod, it’s very versatile. The rod handles short and medium casts like a champ and has reserve power for the longer casts. This rod handles any energy you put into it. I am already saving up for a 1 and 4wt dart."

0wt performs well with double nymphs and large fish

"I fish my 0 wt all season. I have it loaded with Orvis 1wt line. It's great for small fish, but honestly, landing 20+ inches browns and bull trout is fine as well. One of my favorite times of year is sight casting tiny nymphs to trout holding behind Kokanee turning over the gravel in central Oregon streams. In one stream, I'll catch browns, rainbows, and build trout out of the same bucket of water. The delicate presentation doesn't spook the fish. Does the rod bend A LOT when you hook any rainbow over 16"? Yes, but I'm guessing the sage engineers figured on this. So I just bend the hell out of the rod and enjoy the fight. You'd be amazed at how well you can fight a fish using 6x fluorocarbon with the flew in this rod. Do I lose some enormous bull trout and rainbows? Yes. But I also think the light line and small rod allows me to access far more fish on small and medium streams with tight overhanging banks. Anyways, it's a super fun rod with more backbone than you might think, and the rod isn't a gimmick. After fishing with an Orvis superfine 1wt and 2wt for 30 years, I would say that the zero weight is superior. It's also a very beautiful rod with that green blank and high gloss."
