I don’t know if there’s some kind of “science” behind this claim but it seems the prettiest rivers and streams always have the prettiest trout.
Maybe it’s the water? The diet? Or just good genetics? Or maybe it’s cause the prettiest streams are the ones that hold wild trout far away from urban development….just a thought 🤷♂️

It has begun!
My first Great Lakes steelhead of the season 🙌🏼 and I can definitely say it started out on a good note! This fish was a beast to get in but I managed to net her in some slower water.
The water in these tributaries is still pretty warm so getting these fish back quick is really important. I snapped a quick set of photos and let her back so hopefully someone else can hook up with this chunker.
